My Favorite Ways to Entertain on Game Day

Upscale Tablescapes & a Bracelet Stack to Match

There are few things I love more than entertaining, and I'm always on the lookout for an opportunity to put together a fun tablescape!  For this UT Longhorn-inspired party my husband & I hosted, I mixed in a few of my favorite silver pieces to give this football-themed party an upscale flair.  I love the juxtaposition of combining elegant with casual.  And, yes, that's a real football ... just cut the top off & fill with your favorite flowers in your team's game day colors!

Start with a "Spirited" Spirit 

Instead of cocktails, I'm more of a spirits person and Don Julio 1942 is my go-to Tequila of choice. But, for this burnt orange themed party, my husband was able to score a limited release bottle of Don Julio Primavera that perfectly complimented my color palette for the party!  In keeping with the theme, I finished each glass with a decorative orange peel "ribbon" & football stir stick, just because!     

Serve Crowd-Pleasing Snacks 

To keep things casually elegant, we served gourmet hotdogs (really more like sausages) from our favorite local meat market, Smoke Shack Meat Market, on a gorgeous silver tray complete with gourmet condiments & sauerkraut!

Score a Touchdown with the Best Sweets

Of course, no party is complete without a great charcuterie spread and Lily's Cookies for dessert.  Lily's is one of our favorite local bakeries, and they make the most darling cookies for every occasion you can think of, and them some!  They might just be one of my daughter's favorite things on the planet, but adults love them, too!
