My daughter Madeleine & I just spent 3 days in New York City for her 11th birthday! We wanted to share what we did and some of our top recommendations from a wonderful trip.
The St. Regis New York
This historic 5-star hotel on 5ht Avenue has beautifully appointed rooms, the most attentive service & is located just steps from Central Park, 5th Avenue shopping, MoMa and Rockefeller Center.

What We Did
DAY 1
We checked into the hotel and grabbed a smoothie before walking the High Line. Then, we took a stroll through Rockefeller Center and did a little shopping (Mango & Zara were on the list!). For dinner we enjoyed pizza delivery in our hotel room from Joe's. We ended a great first day with dessert (personalized macarons & mini desserts from St. Regis) in bed with our NYC pajamas from Petite Plume!
DAY 2
Day 2 began with breakfast at The St. Regis and then we headed off on a 4-hour private tour of New York City. We used New York Historical Tours for our guide & I highly recommend! On our tour we saw:
• Battery Park - views of the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island
• Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange
• The Empire State Building
• Grand Central Station
• New York Public Library
• Times Square
Next, we enjoyed treats at Veniero's - Cannolis & Cheesecake! We grabbed a slice of pizza from Little Italy before our next tour of the American Museum of Natural History with Babylon Tours. We ended a busy day with dinner at Olio E Piu.
DAY 3
On our last day we enjoyed room service for breakfast followed by a carriage ride through Central Park. We grabbed lunch at a food truck near Central Park before heading to the airport to fly home.
What a great trip - I can't wait until our next adventure!
